Hey all,

So have be been doing a lot of experimenting with setting up servers etc. One thing over the years I've had trouble with was getting Jojo to send emails when not using SMTP.

I seem to have finally got to the bottom of it but I don't exactly get why. Basically if I comment out this line:
$headers .= "X-MSMail-Priority: Normal\n";
it all works.

Anyone able to shed some insite?

I don't think I've used anything other than the built-in sendmail, with postfix, and I haven't seen any issues. How is it failing?

It looks like there are two priority headers that are widely accepted and you can use either but don't need both like we are currently, so removing that line altogether shouldn't be a problem.
The header is supposedly useful for encouraging mail servers to believe it's not spam.

Sorry I just realised I didn't give a lot of detail.

I'm using the standard sendmail/postfix config. According to the logs, everything sends. The email just never arrives. Commenting out that line and everything works.

This has been reproduced on Debian squeeze and Ubuntu 13.10 & 14.04

Does the destination make any difference? Like gmail, xtra and webdrive addresses all fail? and they aren't just spam blocking it?
I have had issues with mail not getting through but mostly they were resolved by setting up a reverse dns entry for the server, switching Jojo to use a local domain for the sender and so on.
