Hi!

I see that JoJo delivers a lot of functionality and I am glad to see that it integrates blog and forum..

In the moment I am pressed to plan a relaunch of a ten year old website, which has some features which must survive the relaunch:

1) we use a concert-gig-eventcalender where the content, data is presented in different ways, so we have the need to include php-scripts in the articles

2) we want to continue with a blog, in the moment we use Nucleus but we can switch to a new blog, the included one, and add a link to the "old blog" for the oldest articles

3) we use a simplemachines-forum.
a) Could it be integrated into JoJo or do you suggest to move to your forum here?
It has not very heavy traffic...

b) We offer there the opportunity to include youtube- and other videos and if we move to your forum, does your forum support embedded videos from different portals?
Or do the multimedia-plugins only work in articles?

c) how safe is your forum, regarding spam content, registration necessary etc.?

4) is it possible to include forms in the articles, paypal payments etc.

5) is there a newslettersystem-plugin with different newsletters or can we plug in phplists for example?

these are the main questions I have in the moment,
thanks in advance for your patience and answers!

Greetings from Hamburg,

Connie

I think it is no system for me, because I will need some support from the community for the first time for sure
and I think this place is here is too small in the moment

I whish you good success, it is sympathetic, but maybe not ready at the time

good luck,

Connie

Hi Connie,

I agree with what you say above.

We are recommending to start off with a simple Jojo site and see how it works for you.

While we use Jojo to do all those things you mention in that list, we aren't recommending others try anything complicated just yet. We are still focused at this stage on improving the core product than promoting Jojo to lots of developers.

We do offer good support though - plenty of people have had lots of support through skype or MSN, and plenty of people are using Jojo successfully on live sites.

Cheers,

Harvey.

One of our core developers is German too - might make support a little easier for you :)

Thanks.
