I am looking to create an event registration plugin and wondering if anyone has already done something like this before I do?

It would basically be a form that visitors fill out to register for an event, then in the admin section, a page to show a list of people who have signed up.
It might also be nice to have an option to accept payments via Paypal for the event.

no.. we have an multi-step enrolment plugin with an admin interface to edit/track enrolees that sounds similar (and integrates with jojo_cart), but it's probably overkill for what you're looking for,
and a lot of it is hard-coded,
and I've been a bit lazy with the setup files because it's a first use development.

Hoping to get it live this week - i'll post a link when it's up and you can see if it might be useful

Sounds good. I will take a look then.

Also, good to know you're as lazy with those setup files as I am...I have a bunch of those kinda plugins myself.

I recently created a registration form for a yoga site in Finland. The content generation is quite complicated due the varing needs of the client but the stuff from the email generation could easily be converted into a database entry.

The test version of the site and registration page is here:
http://studio8.wagtail.fi/workshops/11/introduction-course-march/
just click on the registration tab at the top.

The plugin is full of a heap of stuff you probably don't need but if you interested in any of the code, let me know.
