FAQ

What is Jojo?

Jojo is a content management system (CMS) that we are developing. It is currently in use on many of our client sites, and we believe it is powerful and unique enough to push to the open source community.

This website isn't finished

Yeah. We are working on that.

What makes Jojo different from [some random CMS]?

We are web developers ourselves. We found the existing CMS packages were either not search engine friendly, not configurable enough, or just too insecure.
Jojo attempts to create a stable platform to base your site on. It is currently used on a wide range of sites, from shopping carts to blogs to image libraries to brochureware sites.

What are the unique features?

There are too many to list. Firstly, it's one of the few (if not only) "off the shelf" CMS products that lets you AJAX your entire site, while keeping bookmark and back button functionality intact, keeping nice looking URLs and is completely spiderable.
It also has a custom built BBCode editor with a great image manager, and the way CSS/Javascript files are managed and cached is second to none.
We include a host of features designed for maximum search engine friendliness, features not found in most CMS systems. These include proper handling of duplicate content, and all the fields you need for proper on-page SEO. We also include counters on fields such as the title and meta description, which indicate how much space you have before Google truncates your text.

How much does it cost?

We do not charge for Jojo CMS. It is open source, and free for anyone to use under the LGPL license.

How can I get a copy?

Jojo is now available as a free download.
We are also in the business of making websites - if you would like us to create you a CMS website based on Jojo, we can gladly do this for you, (but it won't be free, sorry).
